Meditations for Moderators

By Kathleen Keefer

When I volunteered to prepare meditations resources for Moderators to use during their monthly Gatherings and during Circle meetings, I thought “This is a really easy task. I have a ton of books on spirituality and a ton of them have meditations in them.” Boy, was I wrong! Yes, I do have a ton of books on spirituality and spiritual practices. I did get my certification in Spiritual Direction, after all, and I began the process of reviewing the books I have and picking out the meditations I thought would be good for you to use. The more I read, however, the more I entered into meditations with the Creator. And the more difficult it became to sort out meditations that you would like. It has become a very long process, a lot longer than I wanted. I thank you for your patience.

I have reprinted here, several meditations, perhaps not my favorites but ones that you can use to encourage, inspire and engage the women of your churches. I have always given credit for the books, there will always be the author, title of the book and publisher, etc. If you have questions or even better, if you have meditations that you have used and would like to share, please send them to me and I will include them in my monthly meditations column. Thank you and God bless!
