In this video, using and adapting materials originally developed by Rayan Landino, Anna Kendig Flores will help congregations explore a dozen different possiblities as they think about what their options are for the future.

How to Identify Who You Are in Ministry

Many PNCs have trouble filling out the basic documents on which our system is based, not because they do not know what they are looking for, but because they cannot articulate who they are in ministry. How do you articulate who you really are (and avoid setting up false assumptions for your incoming pastoral leader)?

The First Interview

What does an interview look like these days? How does Zoom or Teams make a difference? What questions are fruitful? Which questions should never be asked for inappropriate or ethical reasons? Wisdom and creativity are important in planning for each meeting, including developing the questions. We will look in on two first interviews with a potential candidate. As committee members watch, we invite them to pay attention to their reactions ot some of the questions. Developed by the Communications Committee of the Synod of Lakes and Prairies.
